Apa yang dimaksudkan dengan “sumber-sumber” tadi, khasnya adalah merujuk kepada karya-karya yang mendalam mutunya sama ada dari segi akliah mahupun rohaniah, yang dihasilkan oleh para ilmuwan agung Islam yang dibimbing oleh al-Qur’an dan berpengalaman luas sepanjang sejarah. Buku Kepimpinan dan Amanat Peradaban ini adalah satu usaha ke arah yang tersebut, dengan kandungannya mencakupi dari elemen kepimpinan, kepimpinan menurut Imam al-Ghazali, dan kepimpinan sebagai amanah, hinggalah kepada sifat pemimpin berintegriti, matlamat kepimpinan, maqasid syariah, dan komunikasi kepimpinan.
